Who are we?

At Lumana Studio, our story begins in the early 2000s when we—Nariman and Kiarash—first discovered Photoshop 6.0 and started exploring the world of design. What began as fun little projects, like designing business cards for our dad and his friends or creating funny graphics for people we knew, quickly grew into a passion.

As part of a Middle Eastern family, the unwritten rule was clear:
you either become an engineer, a lawyer, or a doctor—preferably all three, if possible:))

So, when it came time for university, we didn’t exactly have a choice. Nariman earned a bachelor’s in electrical engineering and a master’s in architectural engineering, while Kiarash followed suit with a bachelor’s in civil engineering and a master’s in environmental engineering. It wasn’t exactly the design studio we dreamed of as kids, but hey, at least we kept it in the realm of building and creating!

Even as we immersed ourselves in technical fields, our love for creativity, design, and art never faded. We continued experimenting with new software, mastering tools, and expanding our skills in graphic design, photography, videography, motion design, 3D modeling, music, and web design.

After years of honing our craft and blending our technical expertise with artistic passion, we finally decided to turn our dream into reality. We launched Lumana Studio in Dubai, a space where creativity thrives, and meaningful, visually stunning work comes to life.

Looking back, every step—whether in engineering or the arts—was part of the journey that shaped Lumana Studio into what it is today: a studio where technical precision meets creative expression to craft designs that inspire and connect.
